This page explains what Calm Eats collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to
be read, not to be survived.
What this site collects
Nothing is required of you to read a recipe. There is no account, no login, and no paywall.
- Newsletter. If you enter an email address in the signup form, that address is
stored so we can send you new recipes and corrections. It is not sold, rented or shared. You can
ask for it to be deleted at any time through the contact page, and it will be, without questions. - Server logs. The web server records the usual request data: IP address, time,
the page requested, and the browser’s user-agent string. These logs exist to keep the site running
and to spot abuse. They are not used to build a profile of you. - Cache and security. Traffic passes through Cloudflare, which sets a cookie to
distinguish real visitors from automated traffic. That cookie carries no personal data and is not
used for advertising.
What this site does not do
- No advertising network, and no advertising cookies.
- No cross-site tracking pixels.
- No selling or sharing of any data, in any form.
- No comments system, so nothing you write here is stored.
Analytics
If and when analytics are added, this page will say which tool, what it stores, and how long it
keeps it, before the tool goes live. Until this section names a product, no analytics tool is
running.
Your rights
You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted.
Since the only thing stored is a newsletter address, that request is quick to honour. Use the
contact page.
Changes
If this policy changes, the change is made here, and the date below is updated. There is no
mailing list for policy updates because there is nothing here worth a notification.
