Gut Friendly Lemon Garlic Hummus
- 1 lb uncooked chickpeas
- 5 tbsp tahini
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive
- 3 tbsp water
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 small clove garlic
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Step 1. Soak dried chickpeas overnight.
The next day, cook chickpeas in 8 cups of water for 1.5 hours.
Step 2. If you have a sensitive stomach, peel chickpeas first.
Step 3. Add remaining ingredients to a food processor aside from olive oil and water.
Start food processor and slowly drizzle in olive oil and water.
Step 4. Add to serving bowl and drizzle with additional olive oil and dried oregano.
